Dive into the mouthwatering toasted sandwiches and flavorful local finds. The giant bathrooms and helpful staff deserve a shoutout. Plus, the proximity to the subway and cute bagel shop adds a cherry on top.
While the vibes sizzle, the water pressure in the shower and hair dryer were a bit lackluster. A tip for mane mavens: pack a petite hair dryer for sleek locks on the go!

Hi's location near Central Park and the subway is very convenient. the facilities are clean and well-equipped, with a cozy coffee shop on-site.
Long elevator waits. Unexpected charges.

The dorm rooms at Hi New York City Hostel are cozy and comfortable, perfect for a budget traveler like me. The bunk beds may seem small, but they're actually quite snug and provide a sense of privacy.
I personally found the mix-gender dormitories a bit awkward, but I understand others may not mind it.

The hostel was clean and well maintained with good security. Conveniently located near two subway lines and Central Park. The large communal areas, including a kitchen and video room, offered great relaxation options. Enjoyed exploring nearby landmarks like Straus Park and Happy Warrior Playground, creating memorable family moments. Despite some noise issues from other guests, the staff was accommodating. a vibrant and convenient stay for families.

During my transit in New York, I stayed at Hi New York City Hostel and found it to be conveniently located only 15 km away from LaGuardia airport. It made my travel logistics comfortable and easy. the historical building offered unparalleled access to the buzz of the city, making it an ideal location for cultural explorations and unrushed walks in the park.
Only 2 out of 4 showers had hot water. This was a minor inconvenience during my stay at the hostel.

I found the mix gender dormitories a bit cramped, but others may not mind.

no breakfast; had a sandwich which was fine
Room had no heat in the night. In the morning, manager would do nothing to compensate saying we should have come down. Maybe we should have but coming down would have led to even more disruption to sleep.

omg the location near subway 🚇 made exploring nyc a breeze! breakfast 🍳 was delish with bagels & cream cheese! room was cozy, but smelled funky. Staff could be more friendly 😕. A cool spot to meet travelers.

As low-budget travelers, we loved the affordable price and the clean rooms and bathrooms. The location was great, with easy access to downtown via the subway. The hostel's own cafe was surprisingly good, and there were cafes and bagel shops nearby.
We felt well taken care of, no complaints whatsoever.
